Call for Proposal: Redesigning the Business Model of Fundraising

Background

Direct Dialogue Initiatives India aims to provide ethical fundraising and public engagement services to civil society organisations in the development sector. We strive to support environment and social justice organisations by engaging citizens in direct dialogue on issues that affect them.

To achieve this, we aim to provide a wide range of services in the areas of donor enrollment, retention, mobilisation and marketing. Our key focus is to raise both one-off and recurring donations from individuals across the country for environmental and social justice causes.

Greenpeace India has been in operation since 2002. From the beginning individual financial donors have been integral to Greenpeace ways of working and campaigning. Its operation is almost entirely supported by donors contributing on a monthly basis. We also have some major donors. Because of various market changes some of the traditional forms of fundraising especially with individual donors are not viable and we need to be creative and priortise important KPI’s in our new approach.

We plan to restart a new donor enrollment program that is focused on enrolling donors who align with GP campaigns and commit to stay the course for long term and secondly to focus on major donors.

Greenpeace is an independent campaigning organisation that doesn’t take support from corporations or government bodies, we use  peaceful, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems, and develop solutions for a green and peaceful future. It is very important for us that our fundraising plans are in alignment with our values
